Two days ago we went to Konstanz, Germany, to do a little shopping and sightseeing. Although it’s only about half an hour by car, it’s been ages since the last time we visited. Clever as we are, we decided to go on a Thursday in hope to escape larger amounts of tourists and shoppers but it didn’t help. Konstanz is always filled with Swiss people who love to go shopping there because it’s supposedly cheaper and it has a few stores carrying products and brands that you won’t find in Switzerland. But before we started our unavoidable shopping haul, we went for a stroll in the old town.


I love how colorful and unique the architecture of the buildings is and you definitely get that holiday feeling while walking along all the pretty flowers and gardens. Zurich has a pretty neat old town too, but Konstanz’s is more colorful. It was really hot that day and I wish I had brought along a swimsuit because there’s also a beautiful lake and a river.


We were having a really great time until we started feeling hungry and went to grab some Chinese food. The place was called “Box To Go” and despite the cool-looking box and sign, the food wasn’t great at all and I was truly disappointed. You know how much I despise bad food.


Anyways, I wasn’t able to finish it but at least I wasn’t hungry anymore. Our next stop was at Müller‘s, where I spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to worm my way through the many people and shelves. At Müller you can find makeup and beauty care ranging from high to low end. I wasn’t looking for anything in particular and wasn’t in the mood to try on makeup, so I went straight to the perfumes, soaps and such where I stumbled upon a French brand called “Le Couvent des Minimes“.


There were about four or five scents and I chose “Eau des Missions” and “Eau du Cloitre“. I actually didn’t want to buy both but they were so completely different that I couldn’t decide. The first one is a warm and aromatic scent that reminds me of Rooibos tea and the other one is light and floral scent which is perfect for summer. They’re not very strong and you have to refresh it from time to time but they’re not perfumes so that’s logical.


Oh, and I finally got my hands on one of the hyped Rituals products. It’s a bath oil which gets milky when diluted with water and I can totally see why their products are popular. Everything smells so good that I had to try all the scrubs and foams while in the store. The staff was also very polite and offered us tea.


The last one is a light facial oil with two phases that you have to shake well before using. I like oils and am always looking for good ones. I can’t tell you yet if this one is good but the first impression was. The scent is delicate and not too strong and it’s very pretty to look at.
It’s been quite a while since my last real haul post and I even tried to upvalue it with some impression of the city, but frankly I was just excited to share some of the products I got because they’re new to me. Today I wanted to go swimming, but who would have thought it? It’s raining again! So I rather spend my time with gaming Night of the Rabbit. Does anyone know that game?

Vor zwei Tagen machten wir einen Ausflug nach Konstanz, um ein bisschen zu shoppen und sightseeing zu machen. Obwohl es mit dem Auto nur etwa eine halbe Stunde geht, sind wir das letze Mal vor Ewigkeiten dort gewesen. So schlau wie wir sind, entschieden wir uns, am Donnerstag zu gehen, in der Hoffnung weniger Leute vorzufinden, aber natürlich hat es keinen Unterschied gemacht. In Konstanz wimmelt es immer nur so von Schweizern, die dort einkaufen gehen, weil es anscheinen günstiger ist und Geschäfte gibt, die Produkte führen, die es in der Schweiz nicht gibt. Aber bevor wir unsere unumgängliche Shoppingtour anfingen, haben wir uns ein wenig in der Altstadt verlaufen.
Ich mag die bunte und einzigartige Architektur der Gebäude und man kriegt definitiv ein bisschen Ferienfeeling, wenn man durch die Strässchen geht und die schönen Gärten bewundern kann. Zürichs Altstadt ist auch nicht schlecht, aber viel weniger bunt. Es war echt warm an dem Tag und ich wünschte, ich hätte eine Badehose dabei gehabt, da es auch einen schönen See und Fluss gibt dort.
Wir hatten eine echt angenehme Zeit, bis wir Hunger kriegten und beschlossen, etwas essen zu gehen. Die Bude hiess “Box To Go” und obwohl die Box und das Schild cool aussahen, war das Essen echt nicht gut und ich war enttäuscht. Ihr wisst, wie sehr ich schlechtes Essen verachte.
Egal, ich konnte es nicht fertig essen, aber hungrig war ich danach auch nicht mehr. Unsere nächste Stop war Müller, wo ich unglaublich viel Zeit damit verbracht habe, mich durch die Menschenmenge und die engen Regale zu schlängeln. Bei Müller gibts ja so ziemlich alles, von teurem Makeup bis zu ganz billigem. Ich war eigentlich nicht nach etwas Besonderem auf der Suche und ich hatte keine Lust Makeup auszuprobieren, also machte ich mich an die Regale mit den Seifen, Parfums und so und stiess dabei auf eine französische Linie namens “Le Couvent des Minimes”.
Es gab etwa vier oder fünf verschiedene Düfte und ich habe “Eau des Missions” und “Eau du Cloitre” ausgesucht. Der erste Duft ist warm und aromatisch und erinnert mich an Rooibos Tee und der Zweite ist leicht und blumig, was perfekt ist für den Sommer. Sie sind nicht sehr stark und man muss sie zeitweise auffrischen, aber es sind ja schliesslich keine Parfums.
Oh, und ich habe endlich was von Rituals in die Hände bekommen. Es ist ein Badeöl, das milchig wird, wenn es mit Wasser verdünnt wird und ich verstehe jetzt, warum ihre Produkte so beliebt sind. Ich musste alle Scrubs und jeden Schaum ausprobieren, weil sie alle so gut dufteten. Die Verkäuferin war auch echt nett und hat uns Tee angeboten.
Das Letzte ist ein Gesichtsöl mit zwei Phasen, das man vor der Anwendung gut schütteln muss. Ich mag Öle und bin immer auf der Suche nach solchen, die echt gut sind. Ich kann euch noch nicht sagen, ob dieses gut ist, aber der erste Eindruck war es. Der Duft ist dezent und nicht zu stark und es ist sehr hübsch anzusehen.
Es ist schon eine ganze Weile her, seit meinem letzten echten haul post und ich hab sogar versucht, ihn mit Fotos der Altstadt etwas aufzuwerten, aber ehrlich gesagt war ich einfach aufgeregt, ein paar der neuen Produkte, die ich nicht kannte, mit euch zu teilen.
Heute wollte ich eigentlich Schwimmen gehen, aber wer hätte das gedacht, es regnet wieder einmal. Also verbringe ich meine Zeit lieber mit Night of the Rabbits. Kennt jemand dieses Computerspiel? byebye
